Pills2Me Is Now Live Across the Phoenix Metro

Today, Pills2Me is live across the Phoenix metro.

Starting this morning, anyone in the Valley can get their prescriptions delivered from a licensed local pharmacy to their door the same day — and they can order them by simply saying so out loud, in whatever language they actually speak at home.

Phoenix is the newest city on the Pills2Me map. But the reason we chose Phoenix has nothing to do with the map.

Why Phoenix

I am a pharmacist. Before I was a founder, I stood behind a counter and watched the same thing happen over and over: the patient who needed the medication most was the one least able to come get it.

Phoenix makes that gap impossible to ignore.

More than one in eight Phoenix residents is 65 or older. Roughly 36% of households here speak a language other than English at home. And this summer, Maricopa County confirmed heat deaths running far ahead of last year's pace — with hundreds more still under investigation. A pharmacy trip in this city is not a small errand. For an older adult without a car, for someone using a wheelchair or paratransit, for a person who has just come home from the hospital, a two-mile trip in 110-degree heat is a genuine risk.

Then the pharmacy itself moves. Chains have been closing stores across the Valley — including the one at 7th Street and Indian School, next door to the Carl T. Hayden VA. When a neighborhood pharmacy closes, "two miles" quietly becomes six, and the people with the fewest options absorb the difference.

Missing a dose of a blood pressure medication is not an inconvenience. It is a clinical event that happens quietly, at home, weeks before anyone notices.

What we built

Pills2Me is simple on purpose.

You order. By voice or by text. You can say "Hey Siri, order my meds on Pills2Me" or "Hey Google, order my meds on Pills2Me" — hands-free, without opening anything. Or you can send a text message like you would to your daughter.

The Pills2Me AI Assistant handles the rest. It confirms what you need, coordinates with the pharmacy, and keeps you updated. There is no phone tree, no app menu to navigate, no English-only form to fill out.

A vetted local driver brings it to your door, usually that same afternoon.

That is the whole thing. A refill becomes a sentence.

The part we care about most: you can say it in your own language

The Pills2Me AI Assistant works in English, Spanish, and more than 50 other languages.

This matters more than it sounds like it does. Language is one of the most persistent and least-discussed barriers in American healthcare. If the only way to reorder your medication is an English-language app or an English-speaking call center, then the system has quietly decided you are on your own — or that your adult child has to do it for you, on their lunch break, every month.

With Pills2Me, a grandmother can reorder her blood pressure medication by saying one sentence in Spanish, or Tagalog, or Vietnamese, or Arabic. Her son can order it for her in the language he grew up speaking. Nobody has to translate a pharmacy for anybody.

We are launching during Hispanic Heritage Month, and that timing is not accidental. Phoenix is 42% Hispanic or Latino. This city deserves a medication service that speaks to it.

Who this is for

We built Pills2Me specifically for:

• Older adults who should not be driving to a pharmacy in extreme heat
• People with disabilities who need a hands-free, screen-free way to order
• Homebound and chronically ill patients managing multiple prescriptions
• Family caregivers coordinating medications for a parent — often from another city
• Anyone who speaks a language other than English at home

You do not need to be any of these to use it. But these are the people we designed every decision around.

How to start

Ordering takes about two minutes to set up the first time. Sign up at Pills2Me, add your pharmacy and your prescriptions, and from then on you can order by voice or text.

What comes next

Launch day is a starting line, not a finish line. Over the coming weeks we will be adding partner pharmacies across the metro, expanding coverage into the surrounding communities, and working with local aging and disability organizations — including the Area Agency on Aging and Ability360 — to make sure the people who need this most actually hear about it.
